I Stopped Smoking... nearly!

I came across affirmations re: stopping smoking in a self help book to do with achievement "Maximum Achievement" by Brian Tracy.

At first I had no belief that it would work and thought that as a smoker for more than 25 years this topic would be the hardest to get results from thus the best one to give it a real challenge!

The advice given was to say "I am a non smoker" about 100 times a day, throughout the day. I did this, expecting nothing, but by day 4 or 5 my urge to smoke had reduced dramatically, taking me from smoking approx 10 cigarettes during my working day to about 4 - and when the realization of that hit me I stopped the affirmations as I got scared!!!

Can you believe it?!! I take full responsibility for the fact that *I* stopped myself from quitting!! I kick myself now though!
But I'm telling you this to show that it is possible to do it! I plan to get up and running with it again, but this time mentally prepared for it to work so that I don't get scared, and give up giving up!!

All the best to everyone who reads this site, give them a whirl, you may find some wonderful surprises along the way!
